On May 25, Armenian Businessmen Association held its biggest yearly event, the Armenian Business Forum 2024, in Moscow.
The forum brought together over 400 Armenian businessmen from Armenia and Russia, giving a new boost to the economic relations between the two countries.
The main goal of the forum is to promote the development of a bilateral working environment between Armenia and various countries.
The event was opened by Samvel Karapetyan, President of Association and Tashir Group of Companies.
The event featured a panel discussion titled "Bilateral Integrations: New Perspectives," and several Armenian entrepreneurs presented their investment projects in Armenia, sharing their outcomes and future plans.
The main objective of the discussion was to identify obstacles and pathways for developing economic relations between Russia and Armenia. This included issues related to logistics and financial accounting systems, exploring the prospects for establishing joint ventures, and more. Special attention was given to the role of the diaspora in fostering bilateral relations.
The discussion panelists included:
- Samvel Karapetyan, President and founder of the Armenian Businessmen Association, Owner and founder of "Tashir" Group of Companies
- Tigran Sargsyan, Vice Chairman of the EDB Management Board,
- Kamo Avagumyan, Vice President and Co-Founder of the Association, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Avilon Group of Companies
- Garegin Tosunyan, Chairman of the Association of Russian Banks.
The session was coordinated by Daniil Algulyan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of VEB.RF.
During the event, Narek Karapetyan, First Vice President of the Tashir Group, presented the group’s investment projects in Armenia over the past two years and outlined future development plans.
Additionally, Goar Gumashyan, Executive Director of the Armenian Business Association, presented the results of the Association’s five-year activities and upcoming projects.
