Tell us about the unique journey of your grandfather, Vardan Yavruyan, and how his experiences in London influenced the creation of Vogis Gin.
My grandfather, Vardan Yavruyan, was a distinguished doctor and professor of food science. During a business trip to Cuba, with a stopover in London between 1980 and 1986, he encountered something that would leave a lasting impression. In London, he tried gin for the first time and immediately noticed a unique and genuine quality in its recipe that captivated him. His final destination was Cuba, where he worked on developing a tobacco drying machine.
Upon returning to Armenia, he was inspired to recreate this exceptional drink in his homeland. Years later, as his grandson and founder of Vogis Gin, I, Vardan Karapetyan, discovered his original recipe. Fueled by his passion and dedication, I began production, bringing Vogis Gin to life.
Throughout the entire process, my grandfather's experience, knowledge, and passion were invaluable. We consulted with him at every step, ensuring his vision and expertise guided us. In December 2022, he finally saw the finished product, a moment that was truly rewarding for all of us. His influence has been instrumental in creating a gin that not only honors his legacy but also stands out in quality and character.

We will be at the forefront of sustainable practices, leading the industry in environmentally conscious production methods.
